Global Roofing Solutions (Pty) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kulungile Metals Group, a substantial metals trading group with strong BEE credentials (a Level 6 contributor owned by Blackstar Plc, management and an employee trust), and consists of two leading South African roofing material manufacturing operations, GRS Boksburg(Brownbuilt) (established in 1964) and GRS Isando(HH Robertson) (established in 1958), making it one of the largest metal roofing manufacturers in South Africa .

Both Brownbuilt and HH Robertson are household names for the manufacture of Commercial and Industrial steel roof covering and wall cladding profiles (Concealed fix and Pierced fix), composite steel floor decking profiles and lightweight coated metal roof tiles (Armatile, Armashake and Uni-tile).

Their sister operation in the GRS fold, Coilcoat, is an In-house coil coating facility supplying its Globalcoat™ pre-painted metal coils to Brownbuilt and HH Robertson for roof sheeting applications, as well as to other users of pre-painted metal, such as cold room, garage door, signage, and other sheet metal fabricators.
