Global Roofing Solutions partnered with WALLS & ROOFS and embarked on an exclusive roadshow in Cape Town to personally connect with architects at firms across the Mother City.
With overcast skies and the rainy weather playing along to create the perfect atmosphere for getting together around a warm cup of coffee, the Cape Town architects welcomed the caffeine surprise, gift bags and first-hand advice about roofing applications and challenges. Nespresso machines were set up inside the architects’ offices with a whole range of different flavours and strengths laid out to choose from. Everyone had fun studying the menus to select the perfect blend and pairing their coffee choice with matching sugar sachets.
While enjoying the well-deserved break, the architects also had a chance to engage with the roofing specialists. The Global Roofing Solutions team answered questions regarding roofing, addressed their concerns and showed the architects samples of the latest roofing profile. Global Roofing Solutions’ Klip-Tite is a new-generation concealed fix roof sheeting with superior wind uplift capabilities. It has been developed and advanced through continuous inhouse testing. Transverse stiffener ribs were introduced into the pan, reducing upward deflection of the pan. These stiffeners increased the wind uplift resistance of the sheet to 1,8kPa, compared to the 1,6kPa of the Klip-Lok 700. Manufactured from certified steel, it is 700mm wide and roll-formed in continuous lengths. On-site rolling makes sheet lengths in excess of transportable limits possible.
Klip-Tite has already been supplied for more than 400 roofing projects, covering almost 2 000 000m² of buildings in South Africa, Botswana and Swaziland. The roadshow included stops at Axion Architects, Bam Architects, Boogertman + Partner Architects, GAPP Architects, SAOTA and VDMMA. A big thank you goes out to all these firms, who welcomed WALLS & ROOFS and Global Roofing Solutions into their workplaces.
