An opportunity exists at GRS – Head Office for a Personal Assistant with the following requirements:


Main purpose of the Job

  • To provide accurate technical drawings, to Internal Departments, Branches, Sales, Marketing and Customers, on GRS products, to enable customers to successfully complete their projects.

  • To provide accurate roll-forming and tooling drawings for the factory and assist with project specific technical drawing requirements.

  • Accurate estimating of quantities from drawings, to facilitate Sales in securing orders.


Qualifications, Experience, Attributes

  • Matric certificate / Grade 12

  • Trade Test Certificate/ Qualified Fitter

  • Minimum 10 - 15 years’ experience in a maintenance environment

  • Valid Drivers Licence

  • Must be able to make and read drawings

  • Must have experience in, but not limited to Boiler Making and Fitting

  • To do plant based repairs on equipment and machines

  • Must have experience in basic machining

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete job card and submit to maintenance foreman

  • Compile spares list based on breakdown

  • General repairs of gearboxes, motors and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment

  • Ensure tools are sharpened

  • Replacing bearings, sprockets, chains, couplings

  • Responsible for general repairs on mobile mills

  • All ad-hoc duties assigned to you my management from time to time

  • Analyze, diagnose and repair faults

  • Install and develop new machines

  • Advise maintenance foreman / manager to order spares and materials

  • Awareness and advise maintenance foreman / manager of any hazards in the factory

  • Respond to call outs after hours

  • Must be able to weld (Arc/CO2)

  • Must be able to work nightshift as and when required

  • Must be able to work overtime as and when required


Remuneration is commensurate with Company Policy
