Internal Sales Support


GRS - Isando

Administration Manager - Isando


An opportunity exists at GRS – Isando for an Internal Sales Support with the following requirements:


Main purpose of the job


The purpose of the job role is to grow the customer base and increase market share. The incumbent will also provide support to the External Sales Representative, convert inquiries into Sales by answering inbound telephone calls. Promote and sell Global Roofing Solutions world class products with excellent customer service.

Qualifications and Experience required

  • Matric Certificate with Mathematics 

  • Computer Literacy is essential (MS Office) 

  • Syspro experience is preferred. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Exceptional Attention to detail 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Sales environment. 

  • Internal and External Customer Liaison 

  • Sound knowledge of roofing and Roofing Accessories 

  • Sound knowledge of Market Pricing advantageous 

  • A good understanding off the building industry will be an advantage. 

  • Must be able to work independently. 

  • Must be able to work under pressure and manage high volumes of work.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Capture full and complete quotations in Syspro, follow up on all outstanding Quotations. 

  • Check material availability and advise expected date of Receipt. 

  • Sales Orders must be captures on Syspro within receipt of order. 

  • Check Stock availability and ensure order is credit released. 

  • Send Order to Production Planning 

  • All orders to be buddy checked and signed off. 

  • Buddy check colleagues order within an hour of receipt. 

  • Agree on delivery dates with Customer. 

  • Arrange for Customer to have people to off-load on-site. 

  • Book deliveries with logistics 

  • Check all orders on Back Order 

  • Follow up on delivery dates for orders with no material and amend delivery dates if necessary. 

  • Send back-order report to the Rep every day. 

  • Advise Customer and Rep on progress of orders. 

  • Respond to queries on the same day. 

  • Resolve customer complaints on the same day. 

  • Investigate and process Credit notes / Claims in the same month. 

  • Assist with processing orders for colleagues when absent or excessive workloads. 

  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks as and when required.
