External Sales Representative - Exports

Reporting to: 

Exports Manager

 

An opportunity exists at GRS – Isando for an External Sales Representative – Exports,

with the following requirements:

 

Main purpose of the job

 

Meeting set sales targets maintain and grow the company’s customer base and market share by promoting and selling Global Roofing Solutions and its world class products with world class service and competitive pricing.

Minimum required Qualifications and Experience required

  • Matric Certificate

  • Valid Driver’s licence is essential

  • Computer Literacy is essential (MS Office)

  • Minimum 5-10 years Sales Rep/Technical sales experience is essential

  • Relevant Sales/Technical Engineering diploma/degree will be an advantage

  • Syspro experience is preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good knowledge of reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings

  • Must be able to actively negotiate and communicate with all customers

  • Sound knowledge of South African roof sheeting industry is preferred

  • A good understanding off the Building industry will be an advantage

  • Must be able to work independently

  • Must be able to work under pressure

  • Must be willing to travel to SADEC and other African Countries – Extensive Traveling

Responsibilities and Key Performance Areas

  • Interact with Traders and Direct / Indirect Export Companies and Inspectors of Institution

  • Ensure increased customer awareness and maintain/increase market share.

  • Ensure optimal growth by providing excellent customer service.

  • Assist with Walk in Customers

  • Analyze and communicate customer and targeted professional requirements to the Exports Manager on a
    weekly basis.

  • Promote Global Roofing Solutions full basket of products.

  • Tele sales for Tenders

  • Provide Professionals with updated material, technical information, brochures, and samples.

  • Meet and Improve Annual Budgets – inherent requirement.

  • Client queries are responded to timeously.

  • Assist with credit applications and rep reports for the Debtors Department

  • Liaise with Customers on progress of orders as and when required.

  • Deliveries are followed up on where necessary.

  • Quotations are provided to customers.

  • Customers are visited on a regular basis.

  • Check on material availability when quoting.

  • Assist to maintain Customer Pricelists and Customer Database

  • Assist with Credit Applications

  • Assist with monthly material forecast.

  • Assist customers with cutting lists / drawing office requests.

  • Assist with the resolution of customer complaints.

  • General Admin and own filing

  • Assist with additional tasks as requested by management from time to time.

  • Uphold the Company’s code of ethics.

  • Ensure excellent customer service to all clients.

Remuneration

Market Related, commensurate with the Company policy
